This time I was given a very quiet double room (88€ per night) on the 4th floor.
Hotel is centrally located for shopping /walking/eating . TV little too small in a comparison to the room size but for me bigger problem was lack of coffee/ tea machine in the room and electric wall socket in the bathroom - no chance to use there own hair curler/ hair iron. The rooftop monkey bar… bit further from Branderburger gate, Checkpoint Charlie and the wall. Only complaint... business traveler hotel, however, it is also good for leisure travelers, many good restaurants nearby, such as Café Einstein, Ristorante Tra Di Noi.

The hotel is not much of a looker externally however... perfect if you like this area of Berlin. Unusual but not unplesant, the shower faces the bed. It would have been nice to have had a kettle to have a cuppa in the... ever !

Bar/restaurant food was excellent. Okay, in Corona times, things are different, we were told that there was no housekeeping, we had to make the beds ourselves… forest. We also liked that the hotels social responsibility - they have a partnersiop with the literacy program. The pool and the gym was closed, we did not know because there was no information on the webpage. Considering the standard of this… hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. 612 Mio. Ideally located to nip around on the U Bahn. Well maintained beautiful room, with a window overlooking the forests. RIU Plaza in Berlin was, as the other RIU hotels, great! Within a few blocks there are many food establishments from Michelin rated to pub-style. It’s quite modern and, because of the location, very peaceful. Rooms are quite affordable.
Neighborhood is full of cool boutiques and stylish brand names. Almost like a BRD building back in the days.. but smack in the middle... desire to get out of Berlin for a few days post Christmas & NYE, we headed to Bad Saarow to stay at Villa Contessa for 2 days of relaxation. Despite of this too small disadvantages - definitely I would recommend this hotel.The Concord Hotel made my day - from well thought-out delicious breakfasts to convenient location (so I can plan all my day along to sightsee several interesting places in the city).
