The run-down exterior had kept us from trying it for a while until word of mouth convinced us to give it a shot. The Martha Berry Hwy location is a convenient one, and while this family-run restaurant doesn't look like much aesthetically, it consistently delivers some of the tastiest Chinese food I've had anywhere around here. You can't go wrong with China City, it is my new go-to for all my Chinese cravings. Large portion sizes, fast and friendly service.

I recommend the egg drop soup to start any meal, and I have also heard that the wonton soup is great, too.This place though run down appearance on the outside has the old school charm and ambiance of Chinese Restaurants or yesteryear which I live and food always very good....thank god no buffet like all the other stereotypical Chinese restaurants....so I was shocked when stopping by to get some of their fabulous hot and sour soup and won ton soup "to go".....$10.89 for two soups we couldn't even eat...the hot and sour tasted like a vinegar bottle and the won ton soup was way too salty...it's as if they seasoned their soups and forgot they seasoned them and went back and seasoned a second time...I live 35 minutes away so it wasn't like taking it back and when I tried to call no one understands English enough to know what I was saying....I don't want to say I will stop eating here bcoz it's the first time I've had a problem with them and everyone has an off day but going forward will sample anything I get for carry out before I leave.Old building, run down exterior, but very good food.This place looks very rough, not gonna lie.
